What is Nanotechnology?

Nanotechnology refers to a field of applied science that focuses on controlling matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Generally nanotechnology is involves developing materials or devices at approximately 100 nanometers or smaller . One nanometer (nm) is one billionth, or 10-9 of a meter. To put that scale in context, the comparative size of a nanometer to a meter is the same as that of a football to the size of the earth. Or another way of putting it: A nanoparticle is really, really small. And nanoparticles can help to protect surfaces in a better way.
 

Hydrophobic nanotechnology protects surfaces better

Moisture, sand, moss, algae and bird droppings are the main causes of almost all pollution on solar glass. Preventing water from penetrating the structure of the glass can eliminate or substantially reduce the pollution of solar panels. We call this THE LOTUS EFFECT. It helps to slow down the negative influences of the weathering process.

Conventional protectors prevent water from penetrating the glass, but they also seal off the pores and trap the water in them. They are much less resistant to pollution, which allows water to once again enter the pores.

The water repellent nanoparticles of our NANOSURFACEPROTEC are much, much smaller than the pores of the glass. Because of this and because of their low viscosity, they penetrate deeply into the solar glass and form a strong chemical bond to the inner pore walls which makes the surface hydrophobic so it can repel water.
 
External water is kept from entering the pores, while water vapor generated from within the structure can still escape. The structure of the solar glass remains breathable.

How does it work?
